Just for fu...boy or girl muscovy?

This cutie is approx 4 maybe 5 weeks old. I wanted to post a pic to see what everyone's opinion is in the sex even though its early yet. Hoping for a hen! Its already getting tailfeathers in. Personality wise It is not very adventurous. It tends to stick right next to me outside and seeks out my lap to sit in if I will let it. Did I mention its also spoiled rotten.

i spent along time on here and with my own ducklings studying differences in genders and if you guess right its completely coincidence

BUT if i had to guess ide say male, because of the thick legs and wide stance

Adorable and I agree with @Jpat those thick little legs incline me to think boy as well, but having never raised a duck before that is purely a guess on my part.

Its a female. I have a male duckling at least 2 weeks younger than she is and he is huge! Plus his feet legs and head all look very different than my females. Here's a current pic of my sweet girl.

If I was looking at this duck from the angle of the pic and didn’t read you said female I would say drake just because the length of the tail to the body. Maybe a side view?

It's definitely female. Its the angle of the pic most likely. I took it from above to show her pretty feathers. She's quite proud of them and spends loads of time preening and cleaning. I have a drake that is at least 1 to 2 weeks younger than her that is already larger than her and the older female duckling.

These are her roommates. They came from a large farm with loads of poultry. They were not handraised and not really handled at all so they were a little wild at first but they are settling in and taming down quickly. Love all my babies
