How do folks? I have used this forum in the past, not as a member but for research. Since I finally got my "starters" I decided to stick around. I purchased 8 of the prettiest Lavendar orpingtons from a local grower toady and am looking forward to getting them up and running. Also hope to become a familiar "face" in the threads as I learn.

Welcome to BYC!

AWWW......your babies are adorable! Love those Lavender Orps!!

Enjoy your new babies and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!

Thanks a bunch ya'll. I saw them and new I had to have them,I was going to order them from an online hatchery, but happened to see a lady local on craigslist that had imported some. I was able to get the 8 I have this time, and after seeing her 6 mnth old monster roo's asked about the next hatching...lol. Also she has a large hatching of buff orps that I am going to partake of some. But now I have to build a bigger coop and run. :(

Trust me there will be plenty of questions.

Thought I would do a little update. The bottom one who I think is a roo, is Speck...lol' adventurous soul. Anyhow, right at 2 weeks old and gorgeous. Out of 8 biddies I think only 3 are tips.might be wrong, but they have a more predominant comb than the others. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
