JUST got done Candling my eggs!

OK!
So out of 36 eggs only 1 was a dud!

BUT... and it is a big one, the air sac is on the side!

IS THIS BAD? Am I doing something wrong?

So, first off, my eggs are all brown so candling them is NOT easy especially for a first timer, but I could clearly see a network of vessels on one side with at dark little spot (the eye maybe

) and it is darker on that side than the other.

PLEASE ADVISE! My due date is July 7 or 8th if that helps! Also should the eggs be loosing weight?

Yes the eggs lose weight.

Remove the dud right away... .don't want it blowing up in the bator.

I use and LED Lenser that I got at Home Depot. It's pricey but it shines through green eggs and maran eggs.

I did mine and out of 12, seven are good, three are ?? and I throw two away:/

Your doing good, so what are you going to do with all the chickens?

Eat them?

YEAH!!

I was planing on eating all of the boys, but one and keeping the hens.
But I was also expecting to have tossed more than one egg by now.

I am sure I will loose a few more still, but if not it is a good thing I have a huge deep freezer!

So does it sound like they are developing right to you long timers?

Just want to make sure I am not doing something wrong!
