just got five straight run embden goslings in the mail!

Well it turned out 3 boys 2 girls. I lost 1 girl and 1 boy right off the bat. Then the remaining girl has almost a small tuff on her head so she won't be staying. Soo I ordered two sexed females that will arrive soon hopefully.

This is my last time to use ideal. I have to say their customer service has improved some but the stock still has issues. To bad they were the only hatchery I found that pinions.

I'm sorry for your losses I was wondering how they were doing.

I have one larger male in the group that is just so sweet, he is a keeper. So hoping the two new females don't disappoint. I would like to have at least a breeding pair. Then I can sell the odd female and the other okay male as a pair. Maybe make a little of the cost back.

So far they are much easier than chicks to raise! As long as they have deep enough water, feed and a heat lamp at one side, they seem to be doing well in an outside pen now. (It is warmish here) It is shocking how fast these guys grow! I'm already having to use two hands to pick them up.

I just picked up five little embden goslings from the post office! Any suggestions on how to keep them alive?

OK, I am going to be the bad guy, but why would you buy any live animal and not already know how to keep it alive? It seems this information should have been researched BEFORE purchase. OK, I'll wait for the fallout.....................

Lol. I did research but first hand info is always best.
