Just had to re-home 2 of my babies.

So my buddy, Bobblehead the polisy rooster had to go. He was getting picked badly and crowing way too much for the hubby's liking. His new mama and papa came and picked him up. I gave them my little banty cochin as well, so Bobble wouldn have to go alone. They were in a small dog carrier, which seemed kinda small to me and I started to panic a bit about the home I chose.

I cried, but am telling myself I did the right thing. This sucks.

I always worry, too. The small dog carrier is not as bad as you think-so long as the trip home was short. I like to use a dog carrier to transport chickens, and if they are young chickens I'll allow them to use is as their 'house' until they are used to the bigger coop.


These young JGs really appreciated the dog carrier for the first week or so.
