Just HOW loud are call ducks?

Umm, be careful what you wish for. I might not be able to stop. We're getting two pairs of shows and two pairs of breeders. The days are going to drag on endlessly until then

The females are definitely the loudest I have 3 female gray calls and one male.

I always would get drakes if you want them to be quiet I personally think drakes are a lot more loving my gray call drake always follows me and loves to be held.

I've been surprised that mine haven't made much noise at all. My only issue so far is the fighting with the ducks we already had. We're still having to keep them separate for now, but we're going to try to work with them over the weekend to see if we can get this behavior under control. I sure hope so because I don't want to have to split the pen to keep them apart from here on out.

I noticed the same thing with mine. She's very vocal, but her volume doesn't get all that loud. The mallard hens outside make way more of a ruckus with their "Joker laugh" quacks!

Some are quieter than others mine have been especially louder because one of my hens decided to fly away when I was holding her outside and I think a hawk or a n owl got her

I'm so sorry to hear that, Jace. It gives me the willies to even think about something like that happening. Was it long ago that it happened? If not, maybe she'll show back up. I know that's not likely, but it was hard for me not to keeping hoping for 2-3 weeks last spring when my KH drake disappeared into thin air. -- Jade
