Hello from the Pacific Northwest,

We always had chickens when I was younger, we just kept them in whatever barn was in the back yard of our rental house. The flock moved when we moved.

35 years later I have a little flock in the back yard again. In a brand new,( built-to-plan by my husband), beautiful chicken coop! We have 6 Rhode Island Red hens, they just started laying in September. We had one rooster until he started crowing, that's not allowed where we live.

I am also a gardener and I am happy to now have a place to throw all the kale and swiss chard that I thought my friends would eat!

I hope to learn and share on this forum!
