Welcome to BYC. I think @DobieLover has the best advice for predator proofing your coop and run. It would be worthwhile researching ways to keep your coop warm and winter and also ways to keep the chicken waterers from freezing. I wish you the best of luck!

Yes, living in those mountains can be tough when you want to raise birds/animals. We are in Utah. Have the same preditors here. We just live down from a big canyon, but, far enough away we don't worry about those guys, but do have very determined Hawks. Have had some close calls. WELCOME TO BYC!

Thanks , neighbor! We have game cameras around, plus a little video system, and we have quite a collection of wildlife pics. I have seen 2 mountain lions, walking through our place, broad daylight, and we see many tracks, esp. after a snow! It's amazing.
