Just bought a bakers dozen of 3 week old RIR's. So, my saga begins. It has been almost 50 years since I spent anytime around chickens. I will say that what I learned from my Grandma has stayed with me on some levels. Raising chickens is a little fancier these days. Still same common goal... to get eggs!!! Look forward to sharing and learning a thing or two. These ladies went from a brooder box to an 8x10 coop. They are settling in well. Have spent some time just sitting with them and letting their curiosity take over. They are still cowering in the corner when startled but relax after we step inside.
