just leaned against the kitchen counter with a pocket full of eggs...

No pocket accidents but a couple of times I've gone out and made a "basket" out of the bottom of my t-shirt. Well needless to say thinking I had gotten all the eggs out of my shirt I let go to my horror to find out that I'd forgotten an egg to have it break all over my feet.

Many an egg in the pocket of my flannel shirt has met an unexpected demise.

This makes the Princess very unhappy.

Ahhh too many times to count! It's funnier when DH does it. Imagine if you will a Marine dressed in uniform getting into his car to head to work when he suddenly realizes he just sat on an egg he stuffed in the pocket of his cammies!

Also my dog has taken to fetching the duck eggs if I forget to bring them in in the morning. She just carries them in gently and lays them on the floor.

I've definitely had the pocket omelets. Every time I put an egg in my pocket, I swear I won't forget, then of course I get side tracked. It's funny because I have a freakishly good memory for other things. Yesterday I remembered to be careful, and was repeating to myself "egg in the pocket, egg in the pocket" so I'd remember to put it in the basket when I got to my house. Then my ram decided to butt me right in the pocket.

I have not yet had one go through the wash at least.

One time when I was in High School I brought a silkie egg in for maths. It broke when I sat down (grr, the only pocket was near the hip of my dress) on the chair

Unfortunately, being a girl, I thought this was something else. I realised it wasn't when I asked my teacher to go to the bathroom, and found a broken eggshell in my pocket and some gross egg white running down my leg...That was enough to put me off collecting eggs for a long, long time.

Thanks for your post, so it's not senile dementia or alzheimer's I have. Turns out I have CRS (can't remember $4it)

Last week I gathered the eggs and put them in my carhart coat pocket. I also had my Android Cell phone (only 2 months old) with me and took a phone call. After the call, I quickly put the phone in the same pocket as the eggs, not thinking about it. After doing the farm chores, I was walking back to the house and put my hands in the pockets to keep warm and it felt all squishy. The eggs broke and ruined the cell phone. Quite a learning lesson.
