I just moved my 6week old chicks from the brooder to the coop. It was funny to watch them as they moved together in the much larger space. It was almost like a comedy. Everytime one got brave enough to leave the flock, the flock turned and went with them. I am glad for this though because this is how they found the water. I also noticed that it took them quite a while to find the door to the coop. One thing that caught my attention is the longing they seemed to have for the brooder. They stayed in the corner of the run nearest the brooder for several hours almost like they wanted to go back? Has anyone else had this happen? I figured they would be overjoyed with more space.
