Oh yeah....I forgot Rule #3.

Rule #3: Never tell the man the rules. They would just confuse him.

From the FYI files of my own memory, this statement caused a study to be done about what trees hear and if they can hear. They had an axeman cut a tree, then had him walk over to another tree. They had wired the 2nd tree to gain any movement from it. The 2nd tree began to tremble. When the axeman walked away, the tree stopped trembling. True story.

And all men are wrong all them time. Rule of thumb. Always.

Really? That is absolutely fascinating. You wouldn't know the source of this by chance, would you? I gotta google this!

I found that back in 1977 when I had to do a research paper on whether a tree falling makes a sound if no one hears it. Yeah, not just the students were on acid, I think some of the teachers were, too. But I'll google it too, and see what I can find.

I can't find a source. I found a poem, but I do remember having to give sources on the paper. Sorry, but it makes me feel bad whenever we cut a tree around here. Hubbo already thinks I'm insane without me telling him that he is hurting the tree.

I remember reading when I was in grade school that there was a study about talking to your plants. They somehow documented that a plant will respond to a playing radio. Anything is possible
