I set some gorgeous eggs on Wednesday afternoon. I woke up last night at 3 am and thought to myself, That incubator is quieter than normal. Unfortunately I had plugged it in but didn't flip the light switch that makes the plug work. So they spent 2 1/2 days without turning. The temp and humidity were fine. All is good now but I'm wondering if that was a fatal error. This is only my second hatch and I had no issues last time. This was definitely user error! Have I killed these chicks?

I firget all the time...not a major issue...do you really think a hen gets everything turned x times per day every day?

ahh i posted something about how i missed 2 days or more because of a family death .. but ... what will be will be and they seem to be developing fine!

I have read somewhere that during the first few days turning isn't necessary and during the last few days of incubating, turning should be avoided. Although I don't know if this is true, I don't believe missing the two first day will do any major damage.... at least I hope not!

Great! I thought that about the hen. How does she turn them or does she? I figured it would be okay! Thanks for the support!

The incubator I bought said don't turn them the first 2 days (it's from China) then turn them 2 times a day. Of course I turned them 3 times a day everyday because that's what most everyone does...I also read that school eggs are not turned on weekends and they hatch okay so I wouldn't stress it's done and you can't go back and change it look at them at day 7. If your like me I've been looking at mine since yesterday I have veins
