Just rescued some more Battery Hens *pics*

Before you take her back up to the field, I would put a good slather of Vaseline on those legs and poultry dust her. Has she finished her worming program?
When I can't get them to eat I offer scrambled egg. Cheap sardines in oil is also a good way to administer the oil, mine gulp it down.
There is not a lot more you can do for the old girl Johnn. After her time as a battery hen, you are right in saying she would be much happier out in the open field. I'll say a little prayer for you both.

She's been deliced the day I found out she was ill and I have thoroughly checked her for lice again tonight. I give her scrambled egg on her first day down and she wouldnt touch it. She has ate a good amount of apple tonight which is probably the most I have seen her eat since falling ill. I have just give her two syringes of yoghurt and a small dose of baytril. I didn't give her the full dose just incase it is crop problems as it makes it worse, but I just want to see if it makes a difference. Really don't know whats up. But I think the fact she has ate quite a bit of apple is helpful because its been hard to detect crop problems as she hasnt been eating much so now she has it will confirm whether or not it is crop problems in the morning. Thanks for all your help and advice!
