Just saw this on local Facebook chat. What is wrong with this egg?

this picture popped up in my local county news feed and thought it would be interesting to share here. I’ve never seen this before, so I wanted to see if anyone else has. You can see that the inside of the egg is black which looks like mold. Any ideas what this could be?

I find the way the egg shell has broken/opened to be curious. I saw this last night and went to bed thinking about it. I'm thinking what @rebrascora mentioned in her first post...that the egg had a very miniscule crack that missed detection but allowed bacteria to enter. I would toss the entire egg and not even think of feeding to my pets. I find the walmart eggs can have a thin/porous shell. The amount of porous shells in a carton turn me off. Since I've incubated and seen first hand how much quicker porous shelled eggs succumb to bacteria and die... I'd prefer to avoid porous shelled eggs.

I wash our own eggs in very hot water, a drop of soap and a couple drops of bleach...depending on what I'm washing and how much water. I had two eggs crack from the pressure this fall so I set them beside the sink. I got busy and forgot to give them to the dog. I didn't note the amount of days but it was within that week that I went to toss the egg and there wasn't just spots, the entire egg was black goo. It was surprisingly nasty! :gig

@aart I checked out the hard boiled egg on the link you provided above. I'm would consider that mold. The markings in the shell scream that. I wouldn't have eaten that egg if it had been mine, regardless of the cooking killing anything. That's my personal feeling on it. :)
