, and i set 8 mutt duck eggs last saturday (2/4). just a quick question... how easy is it to stagger a hatch i am pretty new? Or would it be easier to just buy another incubator? and btw is the a little giant incubator with a turner? how does it work for duck eggs?
Thanks

I just set 41 of my Welsh Harlequin duck eggs! They should hatch on either the 28th or the 29th! Here is a pic of the eggs in my incubator! I plan on putting another 30 or so in my other incubator in the next few days! :)

One of my females that contributed to the 41 eggs lol

And 2 of my 3 males that helped contribute as well lol

So what will you be hatching out around the same time? How many eggs? Post pics of the parents and of the eggs!!! Cant wait to see all the pics!

Yay! Keep me updated on their progress!! And it might be easier to just get a new incubator and use the old one as your hatcher and the new one as the incubator. But if you wanna do a stagger hatch make sure you would be able to keep the ones that hatch from bumping into the ones still incubating. Put something in to separate them. But also remember that you will have to bump up the humidity when you get some to lockdown and that may affect the ones incubating. And yes it is a LG and it works really well with the turner in it with duck eggs.

well, since my WH aren't laying, I'm going to set 4 ancona duck eggs, and 9 RIR chicken eggs. The RIR are for my mom (she has a huge breeding flock) and the ancona are from my pair, blue drake over black hen. Hopeing for at leased 1 blue and 1 black. Then next month I will set WH eggs since they are showing sign of laying. But if they aren't I will set some when I get them.so excited! Will need to figure out how to post pics lol.

Duchess the Saxony hen laid an egg yesterday!!!!! Yippee! AND husband bought the new and improved Genesis incubator for me for our anniversary!! Awesome week around here!

Today I need to put up the run divider to house Duchess with Earl. If Countess starts laying she'll be added. I'll keep daughters from those matings to go with Duke later on. She'll have 3 weeks of laying before I start keeping them to set. Hopefully Earl keeps up his end of the bargain. Even better if Countess starts laying too.

I knew she was going to lay.. Monday her butt doubled in size. Egg on Wednesday! Countess is still slim in the rear.

8 more days on the Serama chicken eggs... still going good!
