Just started incubation....first time ever....all thoughts welcome!

I think I am a good example to NOT follow. I did my first hatch and did most of the don'ts. None hatched. NONE!! got the second batch in now and not going to touch it till day 9 or 10 and then going to candle.

The last batch, I misread someones thread and candled on the second day. I think that was my biggest mistake. I broke one last night to check it, (I could tell it was no good) and it was about 1/2 developed. Poor little thing. I needed to set the next batch and the first were over due and I was 99 percent sure they wouldnt hatch so I warmed a towel and wrapped them for the trip to the chicken house and put them under the hen.
