I've threatened them with the recipe book, with bodily harm if an egg wasn't in the coop in the morning, started calling them by names like chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, chicken gumbo, etc., I told them dinner was either chicken, or eggs, they decide. jI've threatened to hang them from the roost by their toe nails. I didn't kill them when they ate my precious few ripe tomatos, nor the broccoli, nor the lettuces, nor my roses, etc. I've tried being nice, offering yummy treats. I've followed them all over the yard to see if they were laying in the weeds or under the bushes. I gave them metal nest boxes with their own hay! Even put one nest box on the floor of the coop in case they can't fit their huge butts in the nest box. I have two igloo dog houses in their run, with hay in both. They're getting layer feed. AND NOT A SINGLE DARN EGG YET!!! I'm beyond having patience!!! By gosh they are old enough to lay an egg! And whoever posted about the Light Brahams, HUSH! I have two of them!! They can NOT wait that long!! They are all accepting the roo's advances, so I have no idea what they are waiting on!
I'm tired of negotiating, tomorrow I mean business! I BEST FIND AN EGG!! Or else the toothpaste scenerio seems like a wonderful idea! There's gotta be an egg just waiting to come out. A bit of a squeeze and out it should come! Squeeze their little guts out. Or wait, I mean that precious egg out!
COME ON CHICKENS! Start paying ya rent already!
