Just thought I'd share some pics of a few of our baby farm animals! :)

We've had lot's of babies born this spring, and thought I'd share some pics.

Here's "Squirt," a Kiko buckling we're bottle-feeding, one day old in this pic. His momma had triplets, so we had to pick one to bottle feed.

Here's "Ellie Mae," a Jersey heifer calf that we're bottle-feeding, two weeks old in this pic. Her momma is one of our milk cows, so of course we took Ellie off and made her a bottle calf.

Here's "Cuzco" (white) and "Freddy" (black). Cuzco is a Kiko buckling, two weeks old in this pic. His momma had triplets, so he got to be a bottle baby. Freddy is a Nubian buckling, three days old in this pic. His momma also had triplets.

Here's "Cowgirl" with her new heifer calf. Cowgirl's a dehorned Texas Longhorn, with a little Santa Gertrudis in her. Her calf is sired by our "Objective" Black Angus bull. The calf is 2-3 days old in the pic. I haven't named her yet, any suggestions?

And of course little "Rambo," my registerable Black Angus bull calf (destined to be my future bull). He's a few hours old in the pic.

Cute pictures.....I've been going to go out and take some calf pictures but haven't made it out with the camera yet. I always seem to remember I was going to grab it when I'm already out in the lot and it's too much trouble to back and get it.

Thanks for showing us the spring babies! "Lilac" leapt to mind when I saw the black and white calf, maybe because she seems ever so slightly purplish in the pic.
