Just to share my Cluttered recycled UK run

This is the wood chip section with a beach log and an upturned tyre this is there most fav spot in the run they love to perch on both tyre and log and hide under it all on the corner. Then the little ramp onto the grass roof

Under the grass roof is there coop section were they sleep, nest box and dust bath the coop bit is an old vintage stain glass window on a hinge to open oit for cleaning.

The other end of the run has a budliegh plant with a grass section.

All the stuff is recycled and reclaimed the run is covered and pred prof but i just hosed the turf down and watered the roof so its all wet. I replace the turf every few months. They are just rolls ontop of concrete. Its 12ft x 8ft the whole run and have 3 ex bats in there and hope for another 3 soon.

Where does the sod come from?
Lots of sod is filled with chemicals.

What is sod? Is it the grass? It's from a local garden centre we have used rolls of grass a few times with no problems so far

Yes. Sod is what we call rolled grass here in the US.
It usually contains pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
