Today I got my first set of chicks! 2 Ameraucanas, one silver laced Cochin and one dark Brahma. They’re adjusting really well to their brooder and eating and drinking great. They peck a lot at eachother beaks though but hopefully nothing to serious. So excited to be a first time chick mom! Any name suggestions for the Brahma?

That is so cool!
2 of my first twelve birds were silver laced cochins.
I do not have any good name suggestions, but i'm sure you will find one.
I did not name my chicks for a couple weeks until their personality's emerged.
:D

What fun! The pecking of the beaks is probably the chicks' curiousity of each other's egg tooths. They should fall off any day now and everything will be just dandy!

Name suggestions: not sure if you're a fan of themes, but many in my flock are named after Narnia characters. Edmund, Lucy, Caspian, etc. It's great fun!

Good luck and keep us posted if you decide on names! :)
