Well I have quite a few chickens and I am wondering how to train my pup to know that chickens are not toys. I have a golden retriever pup that is 8 weeks old or so and I dont want him to think that the chickens are his chew toys. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks

I took my 8 week old lab pup to the chicks (they were fairly young at the time, too - less than a month, I think) and would hold a chick up to him and when he showed interest, gave him a firm "NO". When he would look away or ignore them, I'd praise him. He was easy, though. Not all dogs are. But I think it's a good place to start. Just keep exposing him and letting him know that they are not toys. And under no circumstances leave him unsupervised with them. Not for a long, long time.

We were very lucky as our Border Collie just took right away to chicks and chickens without giving them any bother at all. I did monitor the initial introductions, though.

Here is atypical pic. of him these days with broody hen behind.
