Justice for Denise Lee

See, that is how I've always felt and why its hard to understand some people's opinions on the issue. They want to kill a person for killing someonelse, but that's just hippocritical. I would rather have to pay the taxes to keep them in jail. Issues like this hard hard to keep clear, especially if you are religious. You have the "eye for an eye" and the "thouh shalt not kill" counteracting each other, and I think the majority of the time people choose what is easier. When you have someone who commits a crime that unspeakable, its hard to accept that all the get is 3 square meals a day, a fully equipped gym, and free medical services.

Its the same with gay marrige. You are supposed to treat others the way you want to be treated and hate the sin, not the sinner. Those two things counteract themselves and its impossible to treat your fellow man like you would yourself and want the best for them, and look them in the face and deny them something that will make them happy. We just have to do what we feel is best and hope that God is influencing us in those decisions. Things are hard and life sucks, that's just how it is.

(P.S. - Please don't get upset by my opinion. I don't want to create any argument or get the thread closed. I know that can easily happen with this type of post, so lets try not to let it.)

You say that now..have you ever even paid taxes in your life yet?

And do you have any idea of the cost to keep 1 inmate on death row??? IF and I say If death row was what death row should be; then I would possibly agree but it isn't.

A slow painful death would be appropriate. Yes, I more than support the death penalty after having my 38 year old step mother and my 6 and 8 year old step sisters raped, sodomized, and murdered. If you haven't lived through it, then you don't understand why we support the death penalty. Until you have stood in our shoes and picked up the bodies of our tiny little loved ones brought down by these monsters, you will never understand why some of us are willing to pull the plug, insert the needle or put the noose around their necks.
I don't hold it against you, please don't hold how I feel against me.

i just think it's pretty sick and perverse to relish in anyone's death.
even a murderers.
how is ANY justice done by more killing?
what is achieved?
--just another dead body. another family to grieve.
i think sick murderers need to be put in prison for LIFE
--the death penalty is much too easy and EXTREMELY barbaric for a nation that claims to be highly civilized.
but i'm just a lowly Veteran who fought for this highly civilized nation...

That same book states "an eye for an eye"

I personally am sick of wasting taxpayer funds to keep these sickos alive, healthy and happy. At an average cost of $18,000.00 per year to feed and cloth them alone...they are not worth the total cost to keep them alive. Fry em and be done with it. I sat in the gallery at the Ted Bundy execution and I admit that I volunteered to clear out death row...all they had to do was sit em down, strap em in and I would gladly pul the switch. I have no sympathy or mercy for these murdering sickos...NONE.

No matter the cost, no matter the taxes, I would rather pay them than feel even the least bit responsible for taking the life of someone else. I may feel that they don't deserve to walk this earth, but that is NOT my decision to make or carry out. Its God's,and I have to respect that.

I have NO problem saying i want one less evil person on this earth...no prob at all.

i find it really ironic that all these people who are pro-death penalty, pro-"eye-for-an-eye," don't seem to realize the people that truly prescribe to that ideology are the people we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan this very moment.
And that is why we call the taliban/al queda un-civilized, because they are so barbaric...is that what we want to be as a country?
