Hello BYC community! This is my first thread
FYI This is my first flock, so I wasn't aware of preventative worming. They were born at the beginning of May. The duckling in question, Lucky, was born a week or two after as the only survivor of his brood.
Lucky has shown symptoms of gastrointestinal worms (lameness, apparent dizziness, diarrhea, impeded development, etc.) since around June 20th. We isolated him for a couple of weeks and gave him goat wormer, as that was the only kind our local Tractor Supply sold. We have been diligent in cleaning his droppings and whatnot, but as of today (July 18th), he has not been improving. He is better at walking though, and he ran a short distance last week, which was amazing since he loses balance easily. We did order poultry wormer several weeks ago but it hasn't arrived
Is there anything I need to do differently until the wormer arrives? Is my duck going to be okay? Please let me know!!!
