The breeze beneath Tylisia's wings filled her gizzard with a sense of excitement, adventure, and pure joy. She glided on the gentle wind, with her group of young owls just like her flying nearby. There was one adult adviser owl, the one in charge, at the lead of the band of owls, and one in the back.
The group had just left the center of the tree to go on the survival flight trip that the young owls went on to test their basic skills and knowledge. Now, they had left their kingdom far behind and were following the River Hoole, going in the direction of the Sea of Hoolemere. On the way there, they would take rest stops and have hunting training lessons and competitions. That is all that the adviser owls had told the group, though Tylisia was dying to hear more of what they would do over the days of the trip.
Yet while excitement and cheer churned strongly in her gizzard, so did a nagging thought in her head and a sense of dread in a part of her gizzard. She remembered the troubles between Avia, Sanga, Avia's owlets, Hawk, and the Pure Ones that had occured just before the group set off for their flight. The adviser had assured them that everything was fine, but for a few minor difficulties, but Tylisia knew better. She knew it was something far worse than he had made it out to be and to make them believe. She didn't know why or what exactly, but she just couldn't shake the feeling that was deep in her gizzard and the questions and thoughts that kept pestering her mind.
