Jay quickly yet carefully carried Tylisia to the hospital nest, where she was given a calming herb mixture that Nurse Netricia, the nurse maid snake at the hospital nest, had made. It made Tylisia sleepy and relaxed; she was still dizzy and a little confused because of the strike from the Pure One, but Nurse Hoperich said she would be fine. Jay sighed with relief as he stood guard nearby Tylisia. She slept in a soft pile of downy feathers, with Jay always keeping an eye on her nearby the whole entire time. He didn't dare leave her side once, not even to catch his midnight snack with his owl friends. The only thing he did besides stand by her while she recovered was busy himself by helping out around the nest; re-fluffing the downy feather piles, fetching fresh water for patients, and any other tasks he could do to help. But never, not once, did he wander far out of sight of Tylisia. For some odd reason, he felt as though it was his responsibility to watch over her. He didn't need to, but something deep down in his gizzard told him he was suppose to.
