You could just explain that Sanga flies to the owl council and brings Sabio to them. Then you can decide whether they find the owlets real parents, or they don't, and what to do with it after that; either Sanga can keep it and care for it like a foster mother, or you can say that they put it up for adoption for other foster mother owls to volunteer to raise. It's your choice what you make the story like for your characters.

Okay.

Sanga stood next to Sabio in the tree, facing the council. They said that they would try to find her parents, and in the meanwhile _______ would look after her. Sanga took the owlet to _______'s nest and left to get something to eat, wondering if the owlet's parents would be found.




Who should the foster owl be? Anyone want to volunteer?
