Tylisia sighed, sad that so many of her friends had decided not to come. In fact, she wondered if they even lived in the kingdom at all anymore because she never saw them.
Nevertheless, she flew back to Jay because the leader, a large white Snowy Owl, had arrived.
"Alright everyone, we are going to start out as a large group and then you may break off by yourself or with friends and fly wherever you wish to." The Snowy Owl said in a low, calm voice. Before they all lifted into the air and flew out the entrance of the center tree, they screeched and cooed together at once in celebration. Hundreds of wings fluttered and propelled hundreds of different owls out the entrance and into the night sky.
It was the perfect night for a night flight; the stars twinkled brightly overhead, while a slight breeze carried the owls above the treetops. The moon was a small sliver of light that sat among the black carpet sprinkled with sparkling crystals. The stars danced in each owl's bright eyes as they gazed up at them in wonder.
Tylisia flew beside Jay. Hundreds of owls, from Great Horned owls to Elf Owls, surrounded them. After several minutes, the large group broke apart and spread out.
Tylisia followed Jay as he spiraled upwards. He did a couple flips in the air and laughed with joy; she did the same. They spiraled gracefully in perfect sync with each other. The spiraled upwards in twists and twirls, then flipped and shot downwards, twirling around each other. Tylisia laughed; she loved free-flying, especially with other owls. It was like dancing in midair, and she was able to shape the wind with her wing movements.
Jay and Tylisia found Jay's three friends, Gilfordis, Oliver, and Lucifer, and they all flew together, performing flips and twirls together. Tylisia scanned the skies for her friend, Sanga.
