Kalona, Iowa. Poultry, small animal & consignment auction.

There is a sale tomorrow. I can't make it:( I will be there the next week with a Scovie hen and maybe more. They said there are going to be a lot of bottle babies at the sale tomorrow if anyone does want any and can go it sounded like it will be a good week for that.

I can make it if anyone within the area needed to take some stock over.
I am selling an Austrolorp Roo and hope to buy a few Iowa Blue hens.

If you are within a 20 mile radius and need stock hauled I would be willing to do so to keep the show alive. If we dont' support the sale it will go away.

How early do you have to be there to sell stock? I've never sold any poultry there and am quite curious as to the rules and such

The poultry sale starts at 10 am so get there before then if you have any to sale. We normally get there at 9 am so we can watch the sheep sales first.

I went to Kalona today and I was a half hour late and they were already done with the poultry. I guess there were alot of cages, feeders and such. Im going to go earler next week and maybe they will have more. There were also a few ducks and chicks.

They do a sale every Wed. It really is hit and miss about the poultry and supplies. Some days it is barley worth driving too, but most weeks it is a heck of a good sale.
