Our border collie figured out how to open the "child" gate (aka, pet gate) between the kitchen and living room. I've seen grown adults look at it...get nervous...jiggle it...look at it some more...then look up sheepishly and ask "How do I, uh....."
Just pull back on the gray part.
There used to be two buttons on the gray part that had to be pressed before it would slide back, but they broke...so now it just slides back. The BC figured that out the other day. Jumped up, put both paws on it, locked her toenails over the edge of the gray part, and pulled back...BINGO!...and all it took was
once. She can open it at will now.
Funny thing is, she's more than capable of sailing right over it if she wanted...no problem...I think she just wanted to learn how to do it "correctly" so she maybe wouldn't get in trouble.
