Kankakee Illinois Bird Swap 10-7-07

Kankakee Bird Swap is huge and well worth the trip if you have never been to it. Something for everyone! Located at the Kankakee Co. Fairgrounds in Kankakee, Illinois.

Dates: Gate Fee:
April 1st Buyers - $2.00 per adult
May 6th Kids are free
June 3rd
Sept. 2nd Sellers - $10.00 truck
Oct.7th $20.00 truck
w/ trailer
Open 5 a.m. - Noon c.s.t. (they start letting sellers in to set up around 4:30 a.m.)

FYI...Best to get there early, the early bird definetly gets the worm!!!

Howdy!

I was hoping to see that there was one being held this weekend. Probably a good thing that there isn't because I'd surely come home with something and I'm a long way away from being ready. Well, I'm ready but I don't have a coop ready yet.

Looking forward to the September one, though! Putting it on my calendar right now.

Sunday, September 2 nd.

It will be a big one. Hope to see some fellow BYCer's there. There is one in October and then won't be anymore till April 2008.

ducks (indian runner, white pekins, khaki's and mixed) 10

baby ducklings (mixture) prices vary

turkeys (bronze) 30

Come on out if you are in the area this is a large show with a lot of diffy varieties of animals.

One pair of White Amercuana Bantams...these are from Mike Gilbert lines.

One pair of Silver Spangled Hamburg Bantams....these were from show quality lines (Jim LeGendre, OR-one of the BEST breeders of SSHB in USA...wonderful guy if you ask me!)

3 Polish Bantams, white creasted black, from my zoo whose parents were from McMurray hatchery. I have pics of parents.

I have other bantams as well....go to Mothergoose's place and see those birds! Details are with her as well.
