have a funny karma story for you...

my neighbor used to have this girlfriend, who was always getting drunk. she drove up completely trashed one night at 3 in the morning, music in her car all the way turned up on the volume. So loud my house was shaking! I woke up and got out of bed and looked out the window - (who wouldn't look out the window at 3am when their neighbor is suddenly blasting music!?)

She's SCREAMING the words - you might know the song - IRIS by the GOO GOO DOLLS.... her friend who was sitting next to her in the passenger seat turned the volume down. she said "NO NO NO, TURN THAT S*** BACK UP!" and looked up at me in the window and started screaming/cursing at me "**** you! **** you!" repeatedly! I was like... What is wrong with this girl???? I have never even talked to her ONCE!! what problem does she have with ME????

Anyways, her boyfriend (my next door neighbor) heard this as well. He had been sleeping at the time too. He ran outside and shooed her and her friend into the house. They were quiet for the rest of the night... but I was at that point wide awake and MAD!!! I couldn't get back to sleep for a long time -- it was just too much of a jolt to me. I am a heavy sleeper too, so it's not like it wasn't loud. I could sleep through a train hitting my house.

Anyways, less than a week later I hear this loud *BLAM!!!!!* sound while working in my yard... "What was that!???" I ran to the road to see what it was. Loud blam sounds just are not normal where I live! Apparently someone else who was driving drunk in the middle of the day ran a stop sign and totalled her car - she was driving down the road to come to his house again. She wasn't drunk (this time)- but the other driver was. Well she was completely fine other than some glass in her arm. I was glad she was okay, but I was also glad that happened to her. So do I believe in karma? Yes.

Anyways, my neighbor has a new girlfriend now. One that I like much better! She even likes my chickens!

Me being simple minded, feel we humans often try make things complicated in order to attempt to understand them, when most truths are relativity simple. (At least in the dimension or plane or what ever you call the reality of our physical universe.) The matter / anti-matter discoveries fit perfectly well with the concept of Karma in my mind. Everything appears to have cause and effect...Every action has a counter action.
It is simple it is mechanical. Look at a tree, you see how the larger tree causes the smaller one to bend seeking sunlight?

I see no evidence that these same factors should not apply to what we can not see with our eyes...

With that said, xyresicchick, thanks for the story.. Though I personally do not see the car crash as a Karmic event. Yes the poor girls anger at life, and clouded vision of the world around her is likely Karmic. Being clouded by anger may have caused her to not see the situation coming. SO IMO, the crash was not Karma, but one can point to Karma when looking at the cause and effect..(Someone immersed in bad Karma can not see and think clearly.. therefore their judgment is off, which can increase the likelihood of things like car accidents.)

Bad car day.. my Karma is no good and the mood is bleak........

Old reliable (90 Buick) blew a brake line today
Went to plug the tire in the wife's cavalier only to notice a tremendous gas leak

Took off the muffler on my Cavalier backing out of the driveway going for parts.....

And the funny thing?

My 15 passenger van started making a funny sound.. Like a U joint or rear end issue

boyd is going to be fixing cars till the snow flies. Wish me luck and good weather!

I agree, it is not as simple as matter anti matter.. It was just an analogy.. Nor do I feel we understand much of anything in the world around us for that matter.

Though I do not feel it is necessary for all to understand.. I am grateful for those expanding our species knowledge on how things work... Me I am more of a simple farmer type at this point in life, and generally think in macro terms.. I am content with trying to be in tune with the rhythms of mother earth, working on my mental and physical well being... Simple pleasures..

I do not want to talk about vehicles Boyd.. If I look funny at my 99 pickup something will break.
