Well, this is not chicken-related, but...
We put two-dozen Bluegill fingerlings in the pond!

Since we put the pond in ourselves when we cleared the land we live on, there were no fish obviously.
Last summer we put 100 fathead minnows in and let them multiply.
God supplied us with frogs.
What would a pond be without fish, frogs, and ducks, right?
