Sorry the baby didn't make it. 11lbs sounds like it was huge!!! I don't think any of our kids were over 3 or 4lbs. Hope Cocoa recovers quickly!

I hope Cocoa recovers quickly. I am so sorry about the baby. I once lost a 2-year-old ewe (sheep) and her twins during a c-section so I can totally feel your pain over losing the kid. Mine was just a freak thing that rarely ever happens to sheep. Even the vet was crying with me. I always let my animals mature before breeding them. I know how much trouble they can get in if bred too early. I know it was a mistake and you didn't intend to breed her. I once saved a mare that was bred way too young and her foal almost didn't survive. The people were only in it for the money and didn't care about the horse's health

Again I am so sorry for you loss. Hope Cocoa is back up on her feet and has a speedy recovery.
