Katy! Katy to the BLRW help desk!!!

I have to find another source. I won't pay what I paid for 29 eggs and get only 7 eggs that even start. I am not the only person who got eggs that were pooptastic that week. So for me the seller is off my list for egg resources. I only know of a couple people with better than hatchery BLRW.

Miss Prissy - You ARE the expert

The one in the front of your 1st pic sure looks like a pullet to me. My slw and glw had very thick legs and huge wattles at a similar age.

*can't believe I am disagreeing with Miss Prissy on the gender of a chicken! Making note to self: get brain scan asap*

I know! But look at the hackle feathers. They are pointy and longish. also the tail is a bit shredded due to the other big dark one always pulling at it.

No one would be happier than I to have any of them turn out to be pullets but all the signs I am seeing keep pointing to cockerals.

They are so pretty. I am disappointed for you

I have 5 on order from McMurray, I hope I dont end up w/all roos too. On the BYC egg trade, I got some EE's and all four ended up roos too.

I gave two of them to some friends who needed roosters.

It seems the cockerals are the strongest survivors for many of the breeds.

My first hatch is always a cockeral. Never fail.
