I am not a Rabbinical authority but yes, you can't mix diary products with meat from cattel goats or sheep that is from the bbiblical source מדאורייתה the poultry meat is a Rabbinical regulation מדרבנןYou eat all kosher, Benny? That's very good to hear! I also eat all kosher (well except the fact that you might not agree with me about using calf rennet to curdle the milk).
It is my understanding that Jews think the part in the bible where it says you shall not boil a young goat in it's mother's milk, means you can't have dairy and meat at the same time, and you can't use the calf, lamb, or kid rennet to curdle the milk. Is that right? I don't know all that's to it, but I think that's how it goes.
When you read the bible in English it says unclean, but I suppose a more direct translation of it would be from Hebrew - not pure.
