Yeah, it costs thousands. Will have to dream about it, I guess. I feel like cheap digital incubators, at least, will be in the future because of technological advances. Hopefully.

Check out Cy's new thread If you're handy there might be an inexpensive alternative. I'm intrigued by the old incubators. I was an electrician in a former life so wiring isn't intimidating and I love refinishing old wood things.

I guess my friend has one like that. Then there's me looking at a lightbulb uncertain how to screw it in.

I can likely talk you through basic wiring. Terminations are generally the biggest issues and really they aren't that hard. Biggest challenge is understanding what's the proper wire gauge for the amp load. And if the old one has wires in place, that gives you your first hint. If it's 100 years old I'd probably up size a couple of gauges.

I'm not kidding about the lightbulb thing.

Ok, that looks better than mine. Mine was missing... several things... according to this picture.
This is a different model. Circulated air w/ auto turner. Model 4250.

Wait, is it just me or is one of those thermometers wrong?
Just started it. I'm waiting for it to finish heating up. The bird one is my control.
