Just started it. I'm waiting for it to finish heating up. The bird one is my control.

My family was so eager to eat the cake that they eat it like eight hours early.
Because it was only being chilled in the fridge for like 30 minutes. So it was still warm and like pudding. (Tasted fine, but it wasn't like a cheese cake. ) There are still a few pieces left.

Incubator temp reads 4 degrees higher than it actually is.

Cy, you're doing the right thing. Get to know what reality is before you put the eggs in. When I got mine, I had like six thermometers in it checking temps against the readout. I'm happy to report that they all matched the readout. Same with the hygrometers.

I accidentally bought this one because someone had placed it in the sales area. When I was checking out the cashier wouldn't stop talking to me about how she didn't know chicken eggs had to be turned while incubated. Thus, I wasn't paying attention and didn't notice the incredibly higher price ($119 instead of $30). Plus I bought a $30 egg turner thinking I needed it and not realizing that this one came with one.
So yeah.

But it seems to be working so well that I don't care. I think I will keep both the incubator and extra turner. Happy accident.

Update: The incubator hygrometer reads a solid 20% lower than it actually is.

Right now, 0. I am running it for a week before I set to see if it can hold temp and humidity. And to test the egg turner.
