I'm not trying to sound crabby or nasty, but for clarification slash elaboration:
There are people from over 5hrs away one way who want chicks and have searched high and low and found nobody even remotely close.
Are your customers looking for pet birds to add to their laying flocks or are they looking for birds for their kids to show in 4h etc...?

The key is to do your market research. And it doesn't hurt to ask the person willing to drive what they think is fair.
That's a good point. I've already had one person ask for a price but they haven't responded yet. Maybe I can ask them what they think is fair.

I wouldn’t buy any bantam chick for more than $5  But I don’t show my birds either. :p
People are willing to pay more than $5 an egg for hatching eggs sometimes. It all depends on what the buyer wants.
I couldn’t find true Araucana rumpless or otherwise for less than $50. I found a breeder who has been breeding Araucanas for about 15 years, reasonable prices, show results, high quality birds, and the breeders that she sourced her lines from. A friend on the Araucana thread got 2 point of lay Araucana pullets from a different breeder (who never showed Araucanas or even attended a show) and was sent a cull bird that died within a month and the other pullet is an awful feather eater. Knowing where a breeder got their birds from and the show results that they provide speaks for the quality of the birds. If I ever need more Araucanas I’m only going to source from that breeder I used.

Boggy Bottoms sold :( d'Anvers for five to ten each. The quality was decent, though far from perfect since he had multiple colors and breeds of focus. The average price was 7 ea.

I sell my Calls for... idk I don't sell the 'lings.

I believe I live 2 hours from you. I know a good d'Uccles breeder. If it helps, I'll ask Mom how much he charges. Would that help?

Not trying to brag or anything, but I’m pretty sure Fran and Fabio look a bit better then these ones on CL do ;)

How many breeding birds do you have?
You have to be able to meet at least 1/3 or 1/2 of the people that want to buy from you.
If you sell all the chicks you hatch from your breeding stock then you won’t have any birds left to expand your breeding stock. I think you need to build your breeding flocks up. Make a wait list for day old chicks and started pullets/cockerels. After a few years you’ll be able to sell your original breeding stock because you will have improved their offspring.

Some people are willing to pay the extra cash for the breed/variety/ quality of bird even if it’s for a layer flock.
