I'm so sorry, Cy! I know how much it hurts to have to let go of your favorite birds! I've gone as far as refusing to eat for a whole day in years past because I was so upset about it! I feel your pain.

Sore and tired... Pears 1 bob 0... How are you Elly? I have to finish canning the pears today, all I got done yesterday is the preserves.

I have a friend that has pear trees and apple trees that are over 60 years old. He lets us pick his pears and apples because he doesn't have time to. They aren't ready to ready to pick yet, but when we do pick them, we fill the entire car with apples and pears, even piling them on top all the kids! They love that sooo much! Then they eat apples the whole way home!
