You could make something up about all feed having the allergens in it. I kind of doubt she'd know otherwise  I am sorry if you take that as an insult.
Yeah, I could try. I don't take that as an insult.
I'm going to do some research on it, to.
I'm thinking really hard about what I could tell her.
I shouldn't have to work soo hard to get her to believe me, she knows better than to feed them plain oats.
I could give you SOO many examples on what improper feeding has done to my birds throughout the years. I'll probably make a list of them later and post it just so that you know what I mean and why I get so upset over these things.
I feel terrible for all my birds that have suffered through neglect all because of someone's stubbornness.
It's very saddening to think that we have the means to feed them properly yet she wants to go back to where we were.
I don't get it! :idunno

Some people never learn

I really am going to make a list later and show it to y'all!
I'm glad I have you all to talk to about it, now and I'm no longer in it alone!

It's about time for them to face the truth! Oats alone will never be good enough!

Y'all wanna know something really interesting?
When we were feeding them plain oats, my parents always wondered why our birds weren't giving us their full potential.

All the time they would ask me,
"how come they aren't laying eggs, how come they're eggs aren't fertile, how come they're getting fat, how come they aren't growing, how come they're getting skinny", etc.

Then they would always tell me,
"don't you know why, you're supposed to be the one who knows everything about birds, why don't you tell us what's going on!"

I've explained it to them so many times, you'd think by now they'd understand!

Nope, that's not even possible! :he

I can't wait until the day when I have my very own flock that I can make ALL the decisions on!

Then I will finally be able to feed them and care for them properly without unnecessary intervention from someone who has no clue!

That will be the day! :yesss:

Just wait. Eventually you'll live at your own place and can do what you want

Uh oh, I just overheard my mom telling my dad over the phone that she thinks the food that I'm feeding the birds is giving my brother a rash.
Did I forget to mention that one of my sister's has a rash too!? We're not sure what her rash is from, yet though. It's different from my brother's egg rash.
