I know someone who used to be a science teacher and he didn't know that a cow had to give birth for it to produce milk.
Generally yes though apparently it would be possible with hormones.

My ex roommate thought you could tell a hen from a rooster by the way it peed.
They lift one leg on a fire hydrant right? I don't have a rooster or a hydrant so I can't say that as a fact ;)

Up until a few years ago I didn’t know that either. The farming industry has become so profit driven that if you don’t own farm type animals you will have no idea where your food comes from.
The poultry industry is almost exclusively indoors these days, the swine industry is moving towards keeping pigs in massive warehouses, & I fear that the cattle industry will be next.

Yes, you're right, if people don't have farm animals, they don't know where their food comes from. Believe it or not, some people think the milk they drink is from monkeys.
Some people also think that eggs are made by machines in factories. And the list goes on.....

Cattle is already there. I toured a fully indoors dairy farm.
