Good afternoon I just got the feed moved out to the barn, had to break the ice off the tarps. Now in the house defrosting my fingers. My weather station which is in direct sunlight says 35* right now. Weatherbug says it's 27* but feels like 19*. I believe them.

After I warm up, gotta take some warm water out to the turkeys.

I think we've all had a busy day... Lots of new folks getting into the spring spirit. How you doing?

He's going on patrol a lot more frequently and getting much better at coming back when called. He's also been testing me to see if I'll put him in the house when he visits. I don't and tell him he has to chose what he wants to do. Sometimes he heads out for more patrol others he'll go to the door. I think we're getting there. I've never tried to train a dog bread for independent thought. So we're both learning at the same time.

I'm also starting to learn his signals, but his prior owners must have been horrible at interpreting him as he uses the same signals for different things. And they must have been hitters. It is so much better to work with a pup, than starting with an adult with bad habits. But I have been proud of him the last few days. He watches the neighbors drive down the street and doesn't leave the property. Doesn't chase their vehicles. But he can't be out when one of us leave or he'll follow us all the way down the highway.

BTW, I think supernatural and the either chair are in my not too distant future. More mind numbing copy and paste at work tomorrow. Why prevent a problem when we can fix it after it happens?
