Keeping a dust bath dry?!

Hi! I live in the UK where it is wet. It rains a lot, especially in the winter and the chooks have only wet ground to dust bath in. How can I make a dust bath that stays dry from rain and permeation of water?

I put mine under their canvas shelter. Then they can even dustbathe when it rains.

Ooh good idea... is it in a tub with canvas over the top?

underneath the old window is a dry dust bathing spot. And I have a big flower pot filled with sand (mixed with a little diatomaceous earth) in the coop.
