Keeping a few Cornish hens.................

This is a picture of 3 month old Dark Cornish/White Plymouth Rock crosses. We can see tan barring on two of the males when we make the picture bigger. I think its from the White Plymouth Rock not sure.

This is a picture of the runts in the third batch. I moved the bigger ones with the second batch out side. They are younger, but look the same size.
The runts look like an Aseel throw back from the Dark Cornish. They have weird feathering and long legs.

I kept a Cornish cross rooster alive for just short of 2 years, and a pair of hens for around 18-19 months. The hens were laying 1-2 eggs a week. I had them free ranging with my layers. I was surprised how much they acted like a "chicken" and the Frankenstein, gluttonous, monsters they are so often compared to.
