A young herring gull by the beach.

I'm not sure what this is. My best guess based on size is a little gull, but the black-headed gull is a close match as well. Maybe an immature one, given that in both species the head is entirely black except in winter.

Some birds at Leeds Castle in England. There were a great number of waterfowl in a few different species and some pigeons too. When I have the time, I'm hoping to make some watercolor paintings out of some of these photos.

Moorhens. I only saw this pair. However, coots were plentiful.

I am unsure what this bird is. Maybe a juvenile moorhen? That's my best guess, however it lacks the white side markings.
