I have 2 lovely 8-month-old chickens who free-range in our back yard and sleep in a coop my husband built for them at the side of our house (we have a Southern-California backyard, which means NOT VERY BIG!)
I want them to have free reign of the backyard, but would love for them to stay off our patio. They poop all over it. I am looking for a humane way to keep them off (tried scolding them, and water guns, but neither deter them for more than a few minutes). Is there such a thing as "invisible fencing" like you have for dogs (but extremely low-strength!) or any other way to keep them off? I would like us to share our backyard, instead of them taking it over.
