Keeping Ducks Calm During Fireworks?

To our surprise none of the neighbors has launched any fireworks here! View attachment 1629931
But even if, i don't think my Duckies would have had a problem with that:
I was working with a hammer and power tools on their platform, with them inside their little chicken-house, they saw me making that noise and concluded »noise = no danger«.
Then we had severe Thunderstorms, that made me almost wet my pants - the Duckies sat on their platform, looking at the outside world, just waiting to be released to play in the mud.
Hunting season, bang, boom, shots everywhere - not impressing the Duckies at all.
Idk, if that's just our ducks or if ducks are more tolerant to noise.

Same here for me and my ducks. They don't seem to care at all, they may notice noise but just go on about their business after seeing there is no danger

I was so worried I stayed home with her. She did not care one bit. She was more excited when her dad and I got her all hyped up when the ball dropped! However, everything happens for a reason because I probably enjoyed the quiet, relaxing new years at home instead of trying to see everyone at different places before new years! Happy 2019 everyone!

Hope everyone's birds made it through the night okay if they were subjected to fire works. We only had the occasional gun fired which is normal for here. Everyone all tucked inside never make a peep.

I was conked out on the couch last night so I don't know that there were fireworks, but I suspect so, because the chickens did not want to come out of the coop this morning. They kept sticking their heads out, "nope, not gonna" but then, "oh wait, is that scratch? whoopee!" I guess they like 2019 after all.

Our horses freaked out, ran up the road a ways, then back out to their paddock... chickens weren’t fazed at all by them, the one cow near the fireworks just sort of stared at them. My cats and the dogs were less impressed by them though, probably would’ve joined the horses if they weren’t locked in the house!

I have not had any issues with the ducks or chickens on the 4th or last night. They were quiet the whole time.

Our ducks seemed just fine this morning when my husband let them out of their house. Thankfully we only had a few distant fireworks (as in a block or two away). Some of our immediate neighbors can get a bit carried away, so I was pretty happy they didn't make our corner firework central like they have in the past.
In any case, we tried @nchls school 's trick and gave the ducks a nightlight. They were pretty confused, but apparently slept well enough to be active and social (I expected a lot of napping and/or cranky ducks).

Turns out the new year fireworks didn't bother my ducks at all. They acted like... well they didn't act like anything. It's like they didn't even hear it. I guess they're used to the loud construction sound so a little noise couldn't perturb them. I know my friends' dogs and cats go all frantic though they always complain lol.
