I did not have good results with this. My first hatch of buttons, from shipped eggs, resulted in 4 buttons, all female. After a certain age, they did NOT get along. I had to separate them. One of them never laid an egg until she had her own space. I figure it was the stress as she was on the lowest rung of the pecking order.
