ya, I've got 7 runners and only one is a loud mouth! Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Looks like Colonel will just have to go without females since there's no way to keep ducks quiet.

Mine can get loud when she is seperated from my drake, but other than that she is pretty quiet. I've heard others have had loud cayugas though. Honestly I think it's up to the duck. People can tell you how the average breed is, but every duck is different.Question. How loud do Cayuga females get?
I think I should've wrote it better.Mine can get loud when she is seperated from my drake, but other than that she is pretty quiet. I've heard others have had loud cayugas though. Honestly I think it's up to the duck. People can tell you how the average breed is, but every duck is different.
I can rarely hear her when I'm inside. Outside I hear her if she wanders away from my drake and then she will call out for him until they are together again. They will both sing a happy quacking song that they are together.I think I should've wrote it better.
Loud as in heard from inside house or loud as only heard outside a few yards away?
Okay, thank you.I can rarely hear her when I'm inside. Outside I hear her if she wanders away from my drake and then she will call out for him until they are together again. They will both sing a happy quacking song that they are together.
Even then I don't think it's very loud. My chickens are way louder when they sing the egg song.
